Release date: 2026-04-21

We are excited to announce the release of WireSock Secure Connect 3.4.5.1

This release includes updated QUIC DPI protection profiles, improved stability, and numerous bug fixes.

What's New

Version 3.4.5.1

Improvements

  • Updated QUIC DPI protection profiles with Chrome 147 and Firefox 149 fingerprint calibration for improved stealth connectivity
  • AmneziaWG I1I5 parameters in configuration files are now silently ignored instead of being flagged as errors by the profile editor
  • Updated bundled .NET runtime to 10.0.6
  • Improved connection status reporting on the profile details page
  • Added support for multi-line strings in split-tunneling configuration
  • Added SHA-2 (Authenticode) digital signature support for better compatibility with modern Windows policies
  • Removed legacy SHA-1 signatures from installer packages (SHA-256 only)

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed deadlock in network lock teardown during tunnel shutdown
  • Fixed virtual network adapter route cleanup and LUID-based network lock identification
  • Fixed network lock stability when adapter is transiently down
  • Fixed dual tunnel restart on best-egress network change
  • Fixed window scaling calculation and UI thread safety issues
  • Fixed multiple crash scenarios including WebBrowser COM activation, font loading, theme changes, and gRPC teardown
  • Fixed compatibility with Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) environments
  • Improved stability of Windows 7/8 support

Major Features and Improvements for version 3.x

1. New Architecture

  • A dedicated separated layer for better performance and security isolation.
  • A UI client for connection control, settings configuration, and profile management. The VPN connection operates independently of the UI: the UI client can be fully closed while the connection remains active.
  • Support for establishing the VPN connection during Windows startup, before user logon.
  • The Virtual Adapter Mode and TCP Socket Termination settings no longer require running the application with administrator privileges.

2. KillSwitch (Network Lock)

  • KillSwitch can be configured to block all traffic when the VPN connection is lost, preventing any data leaks.

3. Global Split Tunneling Settings

  • Split tunneling can now be configured once globally and applied to all profiles in the application.

4. New DPI Protection Options

  • Added advanced DPI protection using QUIC and DNS packet emulation.

  • AmneziaWG 2.0 support* for enhanced stealth connectivity and bypassing network restrictions.

  • DPI protection can be configured either globally or individually per profile.

    * Note: Standard AWG 1.5 I1I5 parameters are not supported. WireSock uses its own method for configuring simulation settings in both the configuration file and the UI. See Documentation

5. New User Interface for Creating and Editing Profiles

  • Supports editing profiles in a text-based format.

6. New Command-Line Interface (CLI)

  • Introduced a new command-line interface supporting core commands: connect, disconnect, import, export, and delete profile.
  • The CLI enables full operation of the application without the UI.

7. New Language Support

  • Arabic
  • Portuguese
  • Korean
  • Vietnamese
  • Bangla (Bangladesh)
  • Bangla (India)
  • Hindi
  • Indonesian
  • Urdu
  • Amharic
  • Afaan Oromo
