WireSock Secure Connect SDK

This Software Development Kit License Agreement (“Agreement”) is a legal agreement between you (“Licensee”) and WIRESOCK FOUNDATION (“Licensor”) governing your use of the WireSock Secure Connect SDK, which includes software libraries, headers, binaries, examples, documentation, and any associated materials (“SDK”).

By installing, copying, integrating, or otherwise using the SDK, you agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install, copy, or use the SDK.

1. LICENSE GRANT

Subject to the terms of this Agreement, the Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable, royalty-free license to:

  • install and use the SDK solely for personal, educational, research, or other non-commercial purposes;
  • integrate the SDK into software applications used exclusively for personal or non-commercial purposes.

2. USE RESTRICTIONS

You may not, directly or indirectly:

  • use the SDK for any commercial purpose, including but not limited to:
    • commercial products or services;
    • internal business use;
    • SaaS, hosting, managed services, or VPN services;
    • products distributed to customers, clients, or third parties for consideration;
  • sell, license, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the SDK;
  • include the SDK in any product or solution that is distributed by a commercial entity, regardless of whether such distribution is paid or free;
  • use the SDK to provide paid or monetized services of any kind;
  • remove, alter, or obscure copyright, trademark, or license notices.

Commercial use requires a separate written agreement with the Licensor.

3. NO REDISTRIBUTION OF SDK

Unless expressly permitted in writing by the Licensor, you may not:

  • redistribute the SDK, in whole or in part, as a standalone package;
  • redistribute the SDK as part of another SDK, framework, or library;
  • make the SDK available for download by third parties.

Applications built with the SDK may be distributed only if:

  • they are strictly non-commercial;
  • they do not expose the SDK as a reusable or separable component.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The SDK is licensed, not sold.
All rights, title, and interest in and to the SDK, including all intellectual property rights, remain with the Licensor.

Nothing in this Agreement grants you any rights to the Licensor’s trademarks, logos, or branding.

5. REVERSE ENGINEERING AND MODIFICATION

You may not:

  • reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the SDK, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law;
  • modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the SDK;
  • alter or modify resources embedded in the compiled binaries.

6. TERMINATION

This Agreement is effective until terminated.

The Licensor may terminate this Agreement immediately if you breach any of its terms. Upon termination, you must:

  • cease all use of the SDK;
  • delete and destroy all copies of the SDK in your possession or control.

7. CRASH REPORTING AND DIAGNOSTIC DATA

The SDK may include functionality for collecting anonymized crash reports and diagnostic data via Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) to improve reliability, stability, and security.

Collected data may include:

  • SDK and application version;
  • operating system information;
  • technical logs, stack traces, and error diagnostics;
  • anonymized identifiers not linked to your identity.

No personal data such as names, email addresses, account information, or user content is intentionally collected.

Crash reporting is always enabled in the free version of the SDK and cannot be disabled. Commercial versions of the SDK do not include telemetry or error reporting functionality unless explicitly enabled under a separate agreement.

Data processing is performed in accordance with Sentry’s Privacy Policy and GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreement.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY

THE SDK IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF THE SDK.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE LICENSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SDK.

10. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE

The SDK may include third-party components, including but not limited to:

Such components are licensed under their respective licenses, which are included with the SDK and remain applicable.

11. GOVERNING LAW

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws applicable to the Licensor’s jurisdiction, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the SDK and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings.
